3 Daughters Brewing, St. Petersburg, FL.

Background

Mike Harting and Ty Weaver had worked in the food industry for years when they began to brew beer. One day they opted to leave the restaurant business and opened 3 Daughters Brewing in December of 2013. The brewery is located in the warehouse district of St. Petersburg and is named after owners Mike and Leigh Harting’s three daughters.

When you visit the tasting room, check out a brick that was built into one of the corners of the bar that pays homage to Mike’s great-grandfather, who also owned a craft brewery in Lexington, Kentucky, over 100 years ago. And directly opposite that brick, you can see the handprints of the 3 daughters who inspired the name of the brewery.

In 2017 they diversified and hired Cider CEO John Erik Savitsky. They are working to expand their offerings to include several ciders.

In 2019 3 Daughters opened a spot at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

Experience

3 Daughters Brewing is a large brewery in St. Pete.  Handicap accessible and they offer a nice indoor area with Ping Pong and a large outdoor area with games as well.  On Fridays and Saturdays 3D offers live bands and food trucks.  Flights arrive in a unique box.  We enjoyed the coffee porter and Dunkel Weissen.  No nearby lodging noted.

When in the are also check out Green Bench Brewing , Cycle Brewing  and St. Pete’s Brewing.
