Cocoa Beach Brewing, Cocoa Beach, FL

Background – Cocoa Beach Brewing Company

Chris McCall, owner and head brewer at Cocoa Beach Brewing Company opened in 2008. This small brewery resides in a little house and garage located in one of the oldest buildings in world famous Cocoa Beach. Built in the 1930s, the building was originally Navy housing for the Banana River Naval Air Station.

Since opening with a 15 gallon brewing system, we have grown steadily – first expanding to a custom designed and built 1.5 bbl Brewhouse, then to a 4.5 bbl Brewhouse with one 12 bbl stainless steel conical fermentation tank, one 5 bbl fermentation tank, two 4 bbl fermentation tanks, and an Applied Bottling Systems single head automated filler.

Experience

If you are touring the Space Coast, be sure to drop by Cocoa Beach Brewing.  The only brewery in Cocoa Beach. We were there in late October after some bad weather and they had lost all their fermenting beer due to power outages. They were getting some help from Florida Beer Company and were pouring a couple of their beers. This is a small converted house with an outdoor patio and an inside bar area. The bartender was great. Look hard and you’ll find Jeannie’s bottle.

No nearby lodging noted.

When in the are check out Bugnutty Brewing on Merritt Island.
