Cycle Brewing, St. Petersburg, FL

Background

Doug Dozark opened Cycle Brewing in 2012. Doug started a “nanobrewery” at his parents legendary Gulfport Mexican joint Peg’s Cantina. He thrilled patrons in downtown St. Pete by opening a stand alone brewery on Main Street. Through the years Cycle has grown in popularity and beer varieties.

In 2018 Cycle Brewing Company signed a partnership agreement with Brew Hub in Lakewood FL. The partnership will allow Cycle to immediately increase production and expand distribution throughout Florida, while also introducing its first line of packaged cans.

Experience

When we first visited, St. Petersburg was quickly becoming a craft brew center.  With a recent change in laws came four new brew pubs in the area. One of the newest is Cycle Brewing located at 534 Main Street.  They have a limited website, but can also check them out on Facebook.

No food available, long bar, some tables inside and out and great beer.  I liked the Crank and Derailleur double IPA.  My wife loved the two sours, specially Berry Best.  There is a Hampton Inn and an Indigo within walking distance.

When in St. Petersburg check out Green Bench, St. Petes Brewing, and Three Daughters Brewing.
