Marble Brewery, Albuquerque, NM

Background

Marble Brewery was founded in 2008 by Devin Peters, Soren Peters and Theodore Rice. After growing in popularity for several years, in 2016 a $4 million expansion at its Downtown flagship at 111 Marble NW was completed. The project added 7,000 additional square feet of production space and enough new equipment that Marble to produce as much as 30,000 barrels annually.  The addition also added a rooftop bar. Later that year they opened its new Northeast Heights taproom near Montgomery and Eubank. Our 10 barrel brewery and taproom located in the Northeast Heights of Albuquerque at 9904 Montgomery Blvd., is considered the brewers’ playground. Here the team can use its creative side for some experimentation.

Experience

Have been looking forward to visiting Marble Brewery as I have long been a fan of their IPA.  Located in an industrial area they have some street parking and luckily a parking lot across the street.  They have a good sized area inside with plenty of tables and a large bar.  Nice sized patio at the front.  They are in the midst of creating a rooftop patio as well. Part of the expansion includes doubling its beer-making capacity.

Also had plenty of friendly bar staff and great music.  No food available inside but when I was there they had two food trucks outside patio.  Started off with a flight.  Favorite probably their double IPA – Big piney citrus nose that carried through the flavor, Double White Ale has a bit of banana nose, a nice saison, the Oatmeal Stout was also very good with a nice expresso flavor. I heard they have a couple sours coming out in the summer – I wanted one in March. Also missed the Brett IPA, luckily they had a few bombers to take home.

No nearby lodging noted. When in Albuquerque check out Dialogue Brewing & Tractor Brewing.
