Noble Ale Works, Anaheim, CA

Background

Noble Ale Works was established in 2009 and started brewing in 2011. After five years in their original location they started a major expansion installing a bigger brewhouse and increasing their production capacity more than twofold. They also announced they be opening a brand new tasting room space that will be able to accommodate way more customers.

Owners announced in 2017 that original head brewer Evan Price decided to open his own brewery and assistant brewer Brad Kominek will be promoted to Head Brewer.

It appears Evan Price will start up Green Cheeks Brewing in Orange County.

Experience

A quick Uber from the Anaheim convention center, Noble Ale Works is located in an industrial warehouse area.  We found Noble pretty crowded when we arrived on a Friday night.  We noted a variety of unique brews so we had to order a flight.  Enjoyed their Earl’s Grey Dinghy, a very unique Earl Grey nose with a bitter tea flavor and Galaxy Showers has a huge Galaxy hop nose and a smooth flavor for an Imperial IPA. Also good: the Da Crook, an interesting bitter sparkling Ale, Gosebusters with a delicious cheesy nose, light sour and a bit of salt flavor, and Oh That’s Carl Sage’n Honey, unique sage and honey nose and flavor.  We had to get a growler of GoseBusters to go.

We love the experimental nature of head brewer Evan Price.  His interest in European style beers comes through.  We highly recommend you stop by for a flight.  If its too crowded to find a table, get a flight and watch the guys working in the brewery.

No walkable lodging noted.

When in the area, check out Bottle Logic and The Bruery.
