McMenamins is a cult attraction. The are several establishments in two or three states The remodel historic buildings to be hotels, restaurants and brewpubs. We spoke with patrons who attempt to stay at each McMenamins that exist. The artwork is fantastic and throughout every building. They brew beer at a couple of the McMenamins which supply all of facilities. Our original plan was to stay at the hotel in Bend. Stay here and there are at least a couple more brew pubs within walking distance (see other posts). They have rooms in the main building and separate cabins available. The building also houses soaking tubs and a theater.
If you are trying to complete the Bend Ale Trail McMenamins Old Francis is a great place to start with breakfast and a beer. The food and baked goods are excellent and the beer is acceptable. Definitely worth a visit.
