Experience
Fate Brewing Company is one of our favorite brewpubs in the Phoenix area. It is located in Scottsdale on Shea Boulevard just east of Scottsdale road. Owner, Steve McFate, and head brewer Adam Schmeichel know how to run an exciting brewpub. It is amazing this small batch brewer can continually produce a wide variety of great beer. The beer: the Double Oatmeal IPA is one of the best IPA’s I have experienced in the US, the Berliner Weisse series is excellent – Strawberry Rhubarb & Berlimener, American Pale Ale, International Pale Ale, Wheat IPA, Fancy IPA, Gose and a variety of Sours, and the Candy Bar Milk Stout an award winner. NEED I say more! They serve an excellent Sunday brunch complete with Bloody Beers, Beermosa’s and skillet breakfasts or pie’s. The best beertenders around, our favorite, Fausto. The second anniversary was quite a bash with an unbelievable 12 of their own brews on tap. Who else can do that? Even much larger breweries cant get beyond about four or fives beers available at one time. This is a must try brewpub.
We are looking forward to a second Fate opening in April 2015 just south of McDowell on Scottsdale road.
