Experience
Voodoo Brewery is a great small-town brewery with seriously “good vibes”. Voodoo has good beer and good people. While visiting, local artisans hosted a Darn Yarn event upstairs where customers could buy a cozy knit cap to complement a good warming brew. The brewery serves unique, all local food whipped up in the kitchen, and everyone there is friendly.
We sampled the Gran Met (in beermosa and non-beermosa form) as well as the Voodoo Love Child. The Love Child was a fruit beer all grown up. Good raspberry flavor with depth from aging with sour cherries. And while most of your standard throw-away raspberry beers are low on ABV and depth, Love Child packed in 9.5% ABV as a smooth sophisticated tripel. The Gran Met is the base of the Love Child (before being aged with the cherries, raspberries, and passion fruit) and is a solid Belgian tripel (and makes a good ‘mosa). If you only have time for one beer, though, go for the unique and totally out of this world Love Child. The brewery also has many options for lovers of big, dark brews. A Meadville must!
