Background – Sin City Brewing Co.
When Richard Johnson moved to Las Vegas in 1996, “There was nothing there in terms of craft beer. One brewpub, that was it. He was in charge of the next three that opened.
Sin City Brewing Co. is a Las Vegas-based microbrewery launched by long-time Gordon Biersch Director of Brewing Operations Richard Johnson in 2016. Produced to satisfy both the microbrew savvy drinker and those with a preference for a traditional domestic style beer, Sin City beers accentuate the indulgent nature of Las Vegas.
Sin City beers are brewed and distributed exclusively in Las Vegas. Sin City Brewing also features a popular retail line that is available through its online store and its branded microbrew bars at Miracle Mile Shops, The Grand Canal Shoppes, Harmon Corner, and Grand Bazaar Shops on the Las Vegas Strip.
Experience
Need a decent craft beer while exploring the Las Vegas strip? Sin City Brewing has three locations along the strip. We visited the small beer stand in the Grand Canal shops and the slightly larger pub at Harmon corner, right on Las Vegas Blvd across from the Cosmopolitan. A guy was passing out coupons as we came down the escalator. We got two beers for 6 bucks! The blonde ale was perfect for a hot day, the Hefeweizen was good too. They also pour amber, stout and IPA. A shot of Patron or Fireball with a beer is also a good deal, especially by Vegas strip standards 😉
Plenty of nearby lodging!
