Background
Amplified Ale Works in Miramar is associated with the one in Pacific Beach and the East Village. Head brewer, Cy Henley and co-owner Alex Pierson grew tired of never having enough of their own beer on tap at Amplified Ale Works. So in 2016, after hooking up with Brewery Igniter, a program run by the H.G. Fenton real estate company that provides fully equipped, move-in ready brewing spaces for brewers that want to make the leap from nanos or homebrewing. the pair opened Amplified Brewing in Miramar. Being right next door to Pure with the same brewing set up, makes a nice two for one beer stop for craft beer lovers.
Experience
Amplified Ale Works in Miramar is a nice little tasting room with a rock and roll theme. You might find a live concert movie playing. The flight holder resembles a guitar and is quite unique. On our flight the beer that stood out out to me was the Smokin’ Kiwi, a unique smoked beer. No food available on site and no nearby lodging noted. After trying Pure and Amplified you can walk around the corner to Ballast Point.
When in Miramar check out Pure Brewing Project, Mikkeller Brewing and White Labs Brewing.
