Beer Research Institute is an interesting pub with a scientific slant. Beer tasters in beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks for hanging lights and pictures of budding yeast, gotta love that. It is located in a large shopping complex off the highway 60. There many other pedestrian restaurants in the area and a movie plex. We enjoyed a flight of Batch 1 – a Belgium blonde, light drinkable bit of a floral nose, Farmhouse Saison, quite good, 480G a West Coast IPA with a nice citrus, floral nose and I might add “growler worthy” and Street Cred a Black IPA or an American Dark Ale, excellent and again certainly “growler worthy”. Peach Lolli is another standout craft ale they brew occasionally. It is a high abv belgian ale with a nice peach flavor. I wish it was a standard. Nice food menu simple and different, we enjoyed the Cubana sandwich, quite delicious and smokey, the pub salad, and a wonderful cream brulee. Great ambiance and we recommend.
We did not note any walkable lodging near Beer Research Institute.
