Background
What options exist if you are a smaller brewery and have maximized your current output? You can find the money to start an expensive expansion, you can utilize contract brewing where you find another brewing facility with some capacity available or you can work with Brew Hub where your own brewmaster can oversee production using Brew Hub equipment, bottle or keg your production using Brew Hub equipment, and distribute in a new area of the country. The first facility is in Lakeland Florida, but at least four similar facilities are planned over the next five years, most likely in the Northeast, Midwest, Texas and the Southwest.
Experience
On the drive from Tampa to Orlando, is the Disneyworld for craft brews. A huge building off the hiway via circuitious frontage roads, but worth the effort. We arrived at Brew Hub one afternoon and the immediate suggestion was to download the app for Brew Hub. There was about 15 beers available for tasting and we enjoyed several. They also have a nice selection of items on their food menu. Yummy artisan meatballs! Bottles to go or crowlers available for after a long day at one of the Orlando amusement parks. Stock up here because the Orlando craft scene is not quite up to snuff. A fun time was had at the BrewHub, and I can’t help wanting for the next facility to be built near my home. Interesting concept in the ever growing craft beer environment.
No nearby lodging noted currently, but that will probably change since this place is a destination.
