Nikki Paternoster opened Dragon’s Tale Brewery, the first in Montclair, in September 2016. Nikki worked in the entertainment industry for 18 years before she opened Dragon’s Tale. They are Montclair’s first microbrewery & tasting room! Dragon’s Tale the first female-owned and operated brewery in the Inland Empire. They also have the first female Brewmaster in the Inland Empire!
Exclusively through Dragon’s Tale Brewery: BOURBON SQUARES are gourmet handcrafted chocolates made with an alcohol-infused buttercream center. The buttercream centers are then dipped in a delectable dark chocolate! Each and every SQUARE is made with LOVE and they are available !
Experience
We arrived Dragon’s Tale Brewery on an early Friday afternoon and found just one patron inside. Dragon’s Tale is located in an industrial park with a few tables outside and several inside. Nikki had 13 different beers available. The ales were made with very interesting ingredients and names that reflected the creativity. We ordered a flight of six. It was difficult to find one we really liked. If I had to choose one it was probably Scatheus Stout with just a bit of coconut. We detected an off flavor in the six beers we tried and decided not to get another flight. We did enjoy the complimentary pretzels provided as snacks. I understand they do have occasional food trucks.
