Background

Dunedin Brewery was founded in 1995 by Michael Norman Bryant, following his deep passion for home-brewing. Officially brewing by 1996, the first keg to be delivered was an Imperial Brown Ale to Skip’s Bar & Grille in Downtown Dunedin. Since that moment, the brewery has grown from one employee to nearly 50. It is currently under the leadership of the founder’s son—Michael Lyn Bryant.

Dunedin Brewery, the oldest microbrewery in Florida, is now a full-fledged microbrewery with a kitchen & live entertainment nearly every night of the week.

In 2018, an offshoot of Dunedin Brewery named Antibrewery opened its doors. The two breweries share personnel and equipment. The de facto face of Antibrewery is Michael Lyn Bryant, who is the vice president and general manager of Dunedin Brewery.

Experience

The brewery is a large brew pub with a nice outdoor patio.  We enjoyed two four beer tasting trays.  My wife loved the “Bring the Noise”, a Curry Coconut Saison that she continues to long for. That night they had an American Classic IPA, a cask version of that, and a Nelson IPA that were all quite drinkable. Food was very good, my wife loved the Brewte salad with the grilled Mahi.  Be sure to catch the drum circle Tuesday nights!

This area is one of those perfect sites for people traveling.  When in Dunedin you must visit 7venth Sun Brewing. There is a Holiday Inn Express within walking distance of both Dunedin Brewery and 7venth Sun!
