Background
Brian and Joanne Cole along with Mike Symington opened the doors of Lonesome Valley Brewing on Halloween 2013, without beer. Due to the government shutdown, their federal brewing license took longer to process than they had money to pay rent! They started by selling food, then other peoples beer, and finally in February 2014 Prescott Valley got to taste their beer. A few years back, with the help of a kickstarter project began bottling their beer. They have a three barrel brewing system and eleven taps with eight rotating handles.
Experience
Need a beer or bite to eat on your way in to Prescott from Phoenix? Lonesome Valley Brewing is the first and only brewery in Prescott Valley. It opened in 2013 and is located in a little strip center right off the main drag, route 69. When we visited there was a nice selection of decent beer on tap. Very friendly and helpful beer tenders. The place seemed to be a favorite with the local residents. Be sure to order the fried green chilies as they are to die for. Their beer continues to improve with age. The last time we stopped by they had 10 different beers available. Stop by for a flight and some eats.
No nearby lodging noted. When in the area check out Superstition Meadery and Granite Mountain Brewing in Prescott and Barnstar Brewing just west of Prescott in the middle of no where.
