Mazama Public House, Mazama WA
Background – Mazama Public House
Brothers Nate and Jake Young and their friend Troy Anderson have been friends since their boyhood days growing up in New Hampshire. The three outdoor enthusiasts eventually discovered Methow Valley. In particular, they grew to love the Old Schoolhouse Brewery in Winthrop. One day while visiting, they noted the brewery was up for sale. All three jumped at the chance and purchased it in 2016.
Business has progressed nicely. In 2019, they completed a new brewing facility on the TwispWorks campus, and recently opened a new taphouse adjacent to the brewery. In 2022 they worked with a Real Estate group to lease and run a newly built pub in Mazama.
Experience
We stopped by Mazama Public House on a recent trip to the area. It is an amazing spot with beautiful views from the patio and comfortable surroundings inside. We walked in on a Monday afternoon and grabbed a table. Discovered you have to order beer at the bar.
Besides trying some pretty good beers we enjoyed a Chicken Poblano and a French Dip. We also left with a 4 pack.
The brewpub is accessible. Pet friendly patio. Canned beer to go. Lots of camping and cabins in the area. When in the area, check out Stemma Brewing!
