Naukabout Brewery, Mashpee, MA

Background

After four years of brewing out of other locations, the brewery’s founders Brook Conley, Mark Germani, Greg Sellers, Russ Gentile and CEO Peter Murner decided to open their own facility. They purchased the former Flume restaurant property in 2016. The Naukabout Brewery & Taproom opened to the public on March 29th, 2018 in Mashpee, MA on Cape Cod. After just five months in operation, Naukabout expanded their lakeside beer garden space. They added over 4,000 new square feet of patio, nestled alongside Lake Mashpee and the Mashpee River.

The idea of Naukabout started over 30 years ago from Brook Conley ’s dad. He would come home to the Cape from work in Boston. He’d take off his suit and tell us, boys, to change out of our work-a-bouts and to get into our nauk-a-bouts so we could go outside to have some fun.

Experience

Naukabout Brewery is located on Cape Cod. The brewery is set in a peaceful woodland setting very near Mashpee Pond. We enjoyed a large terraced seating area.

There were 18 different beer available the day we were there. Enjoyed flavor forward beers such as Pina Colada Milkshake IPA & Key Lime Pie Milkshake IPA. Many other NEIPAs, a few sessions and Hefeweizen.

Available food included lobster and chicken salad rolls, hot dogs and hummus platter.

No nearby lodging noted. When visiting Naukabout Brewery check out Bad Martha Farmers Brewery. If you are heading back to Boston, you’ll want to check out Trillium Brewing in Canton.
