Redlight Redlight, Orlando, FL

Background

In 2005, Brent Hernandez opened his bar on the second floor of one of the oldest buildings in Winter Park. The bar was often said to resemble the bottom deck of a pirate ship. They called it Redlight Redlight as a nod to the building’s sordid past as a hotel of ill-repute, and a new legend was born. Soon after popularity grew, Brent and his new partner and long time friend opened the current location. It is housed in an old Carrier Heating and Air-Conditioning building on Corrine Drive. Brent’s mission is to create an place to gather and enjoy craft beers and it is sorely needed in Orlando.

On April 7, 2014, the duo launched Redlight Redlight Beer Parlour and Brewery employing a 50 liter brew house, three 14 gallon temperature controlled fermentors, and five full sized oak barrels that are also used as primary fermentors. The brewery specializes in sour and wild beers.

Experience

We enjoyed a very unique Blonde Biere De Garde they brewed that displayed a very unique balsamic hoppy flavor. We also enjoyed a bottled Italian Gose. They have an extensive bottled beer collection, although a couple we really wanted had sold out.

Nice place that you’ll love to discover when trying to find craft beer in Orlando. We suggest you discover the oasis!

No nearby lodging noted, we took Uber from Orlando convention center.
