Background
Mark Heffernan & Lars Bennett began talking about opening a brewery in 2011. They were in the home stretch in April 2014 when they began a kickstarter program to obtain the final items needed to actually open and function. Their backers came through and the doors to Rök House Brewing Company opened in June 2014 in Upland, CA. They opted to go with a Viking theme because of the Vikings’ great love of drinking and crafting fine ales.
Experience
Rök House Brewing Company is located in an industrial warehouse in Upland. There are several tables, a bar and the garage door that opens up to an outdoor area. They also have a room off the main area that the small brewing area can be seen through a window. There are snacks available and plenty of board games. We arived on an early Friday afternoon and grabbed a table. They had 17 beers on tap the day we arrived. Tom was our beertender and treated us right. My fav, Absolute zero hazy IPA. Looking forward to see what Rok comes up with next.
