Background
Voodoo Brewing Co. is owned and operated by Matteo Rachocki and his brother Curt Rachocki. They initially bought a struggling local Meadville, PA, brewery in 2011, turning it into their own. Matteo serves as CEO, while Curt is the Brew Master. The Rachocki brothers expanded the brewery, transitioning from a single location to franchising.
Voodoo corporate pubs are located in Erie, Meadville, Houston and State College Pennsylvania. The first franchise pub opened in Cleveland, Ohio. There are now franchises in Colorado Springs, Ft. Myers, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville and Valrico Florida, Roswell GA, Boise and Meridian Idaho, Salisbury MD, Cleveland Heights, Cincinnati, West Chester Township, Columbus and Toledo Ohio, Fountain Inn, Myrtle Beach, and Lexican South Carolina, Plano, College Station and Lewisville Texas, and Virginia Beach Virginia.
Sounds like Voodoo corporate supplies their beer, cocktails, Selzers and menu selections. Franchise sites are free to set their own vibe inside the pubs.
Experience
We stopped by on a Friday afternoon during a recent trip around Boise. This location opened in 2023. The vibe of the place was cool. A table was available and we enjoyed a great server. A wide variety of beer was on tap, we enjoyed a hazy IPA. The food was delicious, we got a burger and an order of delicious finger steaks!
The pub does have a patio and plenty of parking. There is canned beer to go as well as food. Voodoo is accessible. There is also a Hilton Garden Inn not too far away. We recommend a visit!
