WeldWerks Brewing, Greeley, CO

Background

Co-founders Colin Jones and Neil Fisher opened WeldWerks in Greeley in 2015. Like so many other brewery stories, Neil started out home brewing in his garage. The brewery’s first offerings were a Hefeweizen, West Coast IPA, Red Ale, and a Coffee Stout. That same year their Hefeweizen picked up a silver in the American Wheat Beer category at GABF.

In 2016, as part of their one year anniversary celebration, Weldwerks released Juicy Bits, a hazy IPA. It was intended to be a one-time brew, but its popularity led to it becoming their flagship beer, and really put WeldWerks on the map.

Fast forward three years, WeldWerks increased production tenfold, producing 5,000 barrels in 2017. In 2022 after an expansion fell through in Colorado Springs, the duo decided to expand operations in Greeley and opened a kitchen.

Experience

When we first arrived in Greeley, we first checked out Wiley Roots Brewing. After a few beers and a great time, we headed to Weldwerks Brewing. We grabbed some spots at the bar. The tasting room is very cool with lots of seating options. There is also a dog friendly patio. Being hop heads we were in heaven. There were at least eight hazy options available and everything we tried we loved. The brewery is also known for their fruited sours and its pastry stouts.

WeldWerks does have a kitchen offering burgers, tacos, ribs etc. Food looked great but we did not partake. Luckily there is a variety of canned beer to go as well as merch. We suggest you pay Weldwerks a visit!

Weldwerks is accessible. When in the area check out Wiley Roots Brewing and Equinox Brewing in Fort Collins! There is a DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park not far from the brewery.
