Zero Gravity Craft Brewery, Burlington, VT.

Paul Sayler founded Zero Gravity Craft Brewery at American Flatbread Burlington Hearth in 2004. As production increased, Sayler hired rookie brewer Destiny Saxon in 2008.  In 2012, the duo began brewing beers for consumption outside the restaurant. By 2014 they maxed out the production at the Flatbread Brewpub and went looking for a spot to house a stand alone brewery. In the spring of 2015 the found the right spot on Pine Street in Burlington’s South End Arts District. The new facility houses a 30-barrel brew house capable of producing 4,500 barrels of beer a year, a full canning line, tasting room, retail shop and beer garden. The brewery has the ability to can beer, and to barrel-age and bottle-condition special varieties.

We visited the Pine Street brewery on a Monday afternoon in late May. The tasting room has a bar, several tables and an outside patio. Our group ordered a few flights, eight varieties of their beer were available that day and we really enjoyed the CSA IPA(Rye IPA), the Gose and their signature Green State Lager. Although we did not eat, they had some good looking Brats & Sausages available as well as pretzels. They also offered a few varieties of their canned beer. In researching Zero Gravity it appears the Flatbread Brewpub is still run by brewer Destiny Saxon does offer a wider range of beer. I would imagine over time those selections will be available at both sites.

No nearby lodging noted.
