Helton Brewing, Phoenix, AZ

Helton Brewing opened their doors in May 2016. Owner Brian Helton is an 18-year veteran of the beer industry, with a couple GABF medals for his brews with Rock Bottom and later consulting for other brewing companies. When Brian decided to open his own brewery he wanted to pair his beer with complementary foods.

The Helton Brewing facility is moderately sized with several tables, (one quite large) and a wrap around bar. Their outside patio includes an open air garage and continues to improve with several different seating areas, pool tables, corn hole and darts. They started with only one of their beers on tap and have grown to usually offering 6 or 7 and a couple of guest beers. We appreciate any fairly new brewer who is creating some sour beers. Recently we enjoyed a Boysenberry Sour Pilsner and they have also offered Runaway Cherry sour. We also enjoy the Northeast IPA, a cloudy citrus heavy IPA & the Milk Stout. They also offer a short menu of items that are not the typical bar food and are delicious.

After visiting Helton, we suggest you check out the other 24th street corridor beer spots: Wren House, Tombstone Brewing & the craft beer bar, The Wandering Tortoise.

No nearby lodging noted. The tasting room is handicap accessible
